Rooms & Suites
Nature out back, city out front
Step through the door and you're transported — if only for a fleeting moment - into the beauty of Vermont. At the entrance, a hand-selected wall covering serves as a portal, easing guests out of the hallway and into their own intimate retreat. Inside, natural wood envelops every surface: ceilings and window walls paneled in golden timber, warmed by the same craftsmanship found throughout the hotel's public spaces.
Comfort and sophistication coexist effortlessly here, with every detail considered and nothing left to chance.
Leave a mark, not a footprint.
Signature Rooms
Everything you need, and a little poetry bedside.
-

Signature King
An intimate introduction to The Sugar House, sized for the traveler who needs just enough room to feel completely at home. The Standard King wraps one king bed in the same golden timber paneling and quiet Vermont detail found throughout the hotel - a smaller footprint, but never a smaller sense of place. The portal wall covering still greets you at the door, the ambassadors still make their rounds, and the poetry still waits to be found in its hidden corner.
ADA-accessible Standard Kings with roll-in showers are available within this pool for guests who need them.
-

Signature Double Queen
Two queen beds set beneath timber-paneled ceilings, built for the friends, families, and fellow travelers who'd rather share the journey than split it up. At 280 to 308 square feet, there's room enough to spread out after a day exploring the nature preserve or wandering Winooski's streets, and many Standard Queen/Queen rooms connect directly to a neighboring Deluxe King — the easiest way tobring a larger group under one Sugar House roof. ADA-accessible rooms with roll-in showers are available within this pool.
Each room carries the name of a real Vermont sugar house,
a small nod to the land, the community, and the tradition of gathering that inspired this hotel from its first sketch. And each is home, at least part-time, to one of our beloved Sugar House ambassadors — stoic yet compassionate, curious and wise, known to appear when least expected.
Deluxe Rooms
More light, more room, and a chaise made for lingering.
There are quieter discoveries waiting in every room:
poetry tucked into unassuming corners, handblown glass features catching the light, sauna-inspired bathrooms built for slowing down, and interactive touches that invite curiosity and a little bit of wonder. Every accommodation includes complimentary high-speed wireless internet, a 55" television, and the comforts guests expect, layered beneath the ones they won't.
Suites
Room to spread out, and every reason to stay longer.
Every room comes with the essentials.
Crisp linens, local soaps, and a small taste of Vermont maple when you arrive.
The rest is up to you.
Make the stay memorable
A good room is the start. A fine package makes it a story worth telling.
